Do you have the impression I'm not voting, or that I'm only considering the major parties? You and BigZaphod have a problem with addressing my point, that one isn't required to vote in order to voice a complaint about the election/candidate

I thought it was crystal clear in the fewest number of words. I guess not... You don't have to "give a flying fuck" at all. But I don't think that, by not voting, someone's complaints are rendered void.

Would you like to get shot in the head, or stabbed in the back? This is what I think of when I hear "don't vote, don't complain."

Would you still be throwing a fit if he had just typed "an" instead of "my"? As far as I can tell, all he has is the URL ticketfeed.com. Nothing says the company has been established yet, and I think this would still count as "early". I wou

What's wrong with comic sans? Haven't seen that complaint before.

One example, I used to want to search for craigslist items regardless of location. I found some sites that briefly offered this service, but they were requested to stop by CL.

At first, I thought this was sarcasm; too many people submit questions that are trivial or can easily be googled. Not sure though...

I had seen it a long while before, but it's interesting.

I used Hpricot to scrape web.archive and reddit to make http://reredd.com . Plan on scraping past billboard charts to let people listen to the radio back in time.

"punish the rich"... "the left-wing tends to be extreme"; this is just blatant partisanship. There is nothing to support, just opinion... what productive conversation could start this way? This is why politics here is dangerous.

There are quite a few "Ask YC" posts. How about creating a forum, or list a separate 'ask yc' section at the top?

This seems to be popular? Why? How often would this be useful and save time? In what situations would a website be down for just you? Couldn't you just curl, ping, or traceroute a website instead?

Where does everyone play at? ICC? FICS? Yahoo?

I can only get one mongrel instance running. Search also broke when I deployed. Working on these, but just wanted to get it out there...

strange, I get it now. Thanks for pointing that out. I updated the 404, didn't think I'd be sending a 500 every other request.

This is news.yc... have you read any of PG's thoughts on the value of ideas? Here's an idea for bored_dev: Apparently, some people have a bizarre habit of highlighting the text as they read. Write a script that checks whether a user reads t

I'm just curious how you came about this site? This doesn't seem the most general entrepreneurial site out there. sidenote: seems googling "news yc" no longer asks if I meant "news NYC"

This is unrelated, but why does your comment have a lighter font (#323232) than the others?

I am not the parent, but: 1. Subjective, with a nice insult thrown in there. 2. Do you really think the simplest form of poker for a bot would be a No Limit game? 3. Are you implying poker bots don't take opponents possible hands into accou

What is the significance of signing off with his real name? Anonymous criticism happens on the internet, and since this is a self linked comment, anyone can respond directly. If his criticism is wrong, let it fail on its own merit. I love

I always thought reddit was well established before AS joined. The content was much better even with 3000 visitors. I think the 'reddit this' links must have been the biggest factor in reddit's decline. Interesting to see he joined the RDF

I think the color scheme is great, although when I try to read the links, my eyes do a magic-eye thing. Try spacing the items out, and put the vote/category/domain below the headline.

Even the most obscure words (which this is not) probably warrant a silent google.

Damn. I had an idea for this a year ago and never went through with it :( Even bought a .dj domain and made a javascript player. Good luck to AFM.

The artist (or record company) /does/ own the copyrights to the music on your desktop. When you purchased their music, you most likely entered an agreement not to reproduce/distribute it.

Regarding the number of founders, YouOS springs to mind as a 4-person team. I thought I read PG say he funded a few individual founders this last round?

Really? I thought Reddit went downhill about year and a half ago. More users = diluted content. I was almost surprised when I saw a Paris Hilton story hit the top not too long ago. I'm eagerly awaiting PG's new news site.
