Same problem with the Play Store/Console if you're registering as an individual instead of a company to publish an app.

I'm a bit out of the loop but I checked out the GitHub repo [0] and while the authors moved onto Slint the crate is still actively maintained. That said I also looked at the latest commits and that threw me down a rabbit hole of findin

I browse HN a bit more than I should and I see you and simonw around a lot, like you said always providing thoughtful commentary. When I write comments on here I tend to spend upwards of 15 minutes to draft and reformulate my comments. Some

Yeah, it's the same thing with self-hosting email. The technical side is documented and the tradeoffs are well known. It's the up front effort of migration, maintenance and mails landing in spam that gets people down and so on. Th

Oh, I know it's not the point but I find it a bit disingenuous going from iPhone base model to the Pro in the last 3 years and still comparing to the base model Samsung S series. Though maybe I'm missing something non obvious. But

I think organizations like KDE (during the Akademy) and LibreOffice still run those during the last day of their conferences? I had the chance to attend the LibreOffice one back in 2023 but life got in the way and I missed it sadly.
