I've been impressed by the results I see there. And you've chosen a sick name for it.

I recently started swimming for fitness after not doing so since 10 years ago in high school. I get a rush of nostalgia and a good feeling whenever I catch a whiff of chlorine on my hands or hair throughout the day.

What do you mean that the analog loophole gets stronger? Are you saying that the AR technology is getting good enough that ad-blocking can be done there instead? That's true, I guess.

I agree with sibling comments that battery life would be the real issue here, but I was astonished to see the $9 price tag on this. Incredible.

Who knows, maybe the climax of the advertising/drm war will result in an ideological split of the Internet: On the one side: Big tech. E2E DRM, Chromium is the only browser engine sites will respond to, unavoidable and unblockable ads,

Your "end-game" AI tool sounds good, and would work I think, but I think the opposing endgame strategy for advertisers is fully verified DRM chain all the way from incoming network packets to the display's pixels. Network -&g

You must be referring to the default and large subreddits. I find Reddit to be quite pleasant (despite overused jokes etc) once excluding any sub above like 20k.

The claim (which generally I'm inclined to believe) is that requiring a phone number drastically increases the cost to sending spam. That in turn drastically reduces the spam amount.

(Reply depth reached) I guess if you're filtering through a big crowd then indeed you could get really close to people and their wallets. I thought GP was saying you could immediately skim every person in a crowd at once.

It sure seems like modern hardware's speed is wasted on making things slightly easier for devs, rather than speed or performance increases for users huh. If 29 layers of abstraction saves a little dev time over 5 layers, that's fi

To do this, are they using some kind of modified payment terminal with extended range somehow? My understanding is that the NFC coils have to be very close, like single-digit cm to get any kind of power or data through.

Do you feel like the number of invisible footguns was manageable? That's always my concern with diy trades stuff, the things that seem fine at install but come back to bite you 6mo later.
