I'm reminded most strongly of this statement from one of PG's essays: "...eventually the open source world won, by producing Javascript libraries that grew over the brokenness of Explorer the way a tree grows over barbed wire." It's amazing

That's correct (although our adjustment step changes the lighting and color of the replacement candidate to match the frame of the input image). This is why I said earlier that one could create multiple databases. Since the replacement cand

I don't understand what you mean. Why would we introduce noise into the results? Given a face to replace and a database to find candidates from, the process is fully deterministic. The database itself can of course grow, or be switched out.

I'm one of the authors of the paper. We're planning on releasing an online demo website at some point where people can submit photos and see what kind of replacements are generated. The process is indeed fully-automatic. The non-real lookin

Maybe it's just me, but I actually find the intelli-sense annoying in vim. I prefer the normal ctrl-n/-p without the popup (too distracting/slow/etc).

Are there any linux tools to mark-up/comment-on PDFs? I'm often forced to use the windows version of Acrobat to make and view edits on a document, because I haven't found any linux tools that will even display comments (let alone edit them)

Google is a terrible way to find good programming/CS books. I think that's why the OP was asking here, where he can expect to find books that other hackers have used personally and can thus make earnest and informed recommendations. I did i

Some minor suggestions/bugs: 1. It would be nice to have a button which pops-up a small calendar (something like on kayak.com or any other flight site). The automatic parsing is nice, but for the less web-savvy, a button would be easier to
