golang has its "patterns" as well, which are quite badly designed. Java's modeling and abstraction capabilities way supersede what golang has to offer. This is much better now especially after Java 8 and continues to evolve.

Agreed. Because golang is "simple", the actual code base becomes a mess, littered with 10 line functions that are basically map/filter/etc. calls, which can be written on a single line in a proper modern language. The ma

I see many golang users just parrot what golang authors say, without having any evidence about those claims. Things like "golang is designed for development in the large", or "golang forces you to think about errors" or

golang's "simplicity" (i.e. unexpressivity and weak modeling ability) translate into complexity in real world code bases. There's no way around it.

It's ironic because the golang authors say that golang is not "OO". Of course, not that there's anything wrong with properly done OO, it's just that golang's implementation of it is botched.

Relying on interest is a predatory and harmful behavior in the economy. Any economy based on interest is inherently unstable and un-equal. It's no wonder the Abrahamic religions outright banned interest (i.e. usury).

Compare it to the Java standard lib: concurrent data structures, proper generic structures (tries, priority queues, etc.), GUI libraries, annotations (JPA, nullability, etc.), management, sound, etc. and you'll see what's missing.
