It's good and important to have a proper function healthcare system. However, we shouldn't fall into the false dichotomy fallacy. We don't have to pay 50% of our pay checks in taxes in order to provide good healthcare for all

As I mentioned, you don't have to use unnecessary interfaces with DI (compile time or runtime). You can directly inject your implementation classes. Secondly, huge stack traces are not related to DI either, they're an orthogonal i

My source is simply reading history :) It has been reported that during time of Omar ibn Abdul-Aziz, there were no poor people left to take Zakah, since everyone paid their dues. The difference between Zakah and wealth tax as proposed in th

What kind of bloat are you talking about here? Binary and/or runtime cost? In the case of Java/JVM (and I believe C#/.NET) the JIT is almost trivially able to inline monomorphic calls, meaning that effectively, these interfac

Income (and sales) tax is a terrible model. A "wealth tax" (e.g. see how Islam requires Zakah) is superior, and has been historically shown to work.

You don't have to incur the cost of reflection. Dagger2 for instance, is a compile time DI framework. Micronaut is also compile time.

The JVM yes, and Java is the platform language, so it is the most efficient language for the JVM, and the one with least impedance mismatch. golang is not a magical solution that doesn't have problems. It has its fair share. Its gc is

The irony is that golang was created to replace C++ at Google, yet it didn't even make a dent in its usage for serious products. C++ and Java remain the heavy lifters there, as well as at other major establishments, precisely because o

I know how to write golang, which is why I'm well aware of its shortcomings and the issues its inferior design causes, and the costly bandaids that have to be implemented to poorly attempt to mitigate said issues.

Which is so ironic to leave the economy of a country up to the whims of a private entity, where the people running it indulge in parasitic and immoral practices (interest/usury) to always profit off of the backs of people.

Java is going a similar route (project Loom), but they'll be implemented in a better way. Things like timeouts in golang are awkard to enforce, and monitoring hierarchies are not built-in. Java's Loom is already getting both.

Even if it does get generics, it's not enough to fix all the issues with the language. Java and C# are getting native compilation soon (GraalVM, CoreRT), and when they do, it's hard pressing to see why anyone would settle for an i

People who want power and money will move to wherever power and money exist, it's a tautology. Whether it be in finance or C-level positions. It's just a part of life I suppose, not that it's a good thing.
