There's a deployment page that, I agree, can definitely use some work : http://jekyllbootstrap.com/usage/deployment-and-hosting.html The link to the docs are at the bottom: (custom jekyll deployment strategies)

I'm the maintainer of jekyll-bootstrap, nice to see this on HN! My main focus is super-fast publishing (GitHub Pages) and technical blogging. I really could use some honest user feedback from technically-minded bloggers. What is most import

Thank you for the reply. I felt it was important to address so that myself and others would be more confident with going ahead and pledging. Thanks for taking the lead here and actually shipping something.

I wonder if they plan to take a percentage of the funds raised. I can see this being problematic. I think it's reasonable to say WeTheLobby needs to keep the lights on. I think I'd feel a lot better providing ongoing contributions if I knew

I'd be interested in helping you sort out your problem. I think it's a nice concept for a website. I am unclear with what you mean by "with the assistance of the creator". Does that mean there is a "usesthis" framework? I have experience in

HN'ers have a hard enough time accepting: 'more features' != 'more marketshare' I would caution this making sure to note "it depends on the startup". If your industry pays attention to blogs it's very much worth devoting large amoun

I do this as a rule. Chances are the companies I'd work best at won't be the type to value a resume. I'm going to be looking for a job very soon, so I built: https://github.com/plusjade/jekyll-bootstrap and https://github.com/plusjade/na

Since discovering Jekyll and the fact that GitHub Pages will host your content for free, I think this would be the ideal solution. However Jekyll is a pain in the ass to use, which is why I've been working on http://jekyllbootstrap.com/ J

If you are talking about web-based development, you have to build a complete application all by yourself, from top to bottom in my opinion. This means all design work, UI, HTML, javascript. All backend application code that serves the the a
