That's exactly right. Bad leadership got them here. Of course they won't suffer, but their employees will. But only because they announced it as AI related. So the investors don't care.

Oh yeah, AI is just an excuse to sell it to the public. But it's not about that at all. It's about bad leadership.

Yikes. That's bad leadership at that top all around. But we already knew that when they announced layoffs. No good leader lays people off.

In hindsight though, and really also in foresight, it didn't work out that way.

For me, the journey is more important than the destination. Using coding assistance takes all the fun out of it, as well as the learning. (Not to mention adding aggravation of dealing with prompts and figuring out whether the response is co

Because there are so many bugs that it makes me wonder if Apple Execs ever use their own software. For example, on MacOS, you can set an app to be on all spaces. But on reboot, despite that setting, it will stick to a single space, until yo

I appreciate what Cook did for the hardware, but he really failed on the software side. Too many little and annoying bugs. I look forward to Ternus improving that side while maintaining the same hardware quality.

> What leads you to believe Agile implies a fixed set of precise, rigid rules? How it's been implemented at every company. They are always a fixed set of precise, rigid rules.

That's true, but most people / teams can't actually adjust the process.

> Another way of phrasing this though, is that it's in the team's power to determine process (or the lack thereof). Which they almost never have.

I think this is too harsh. Generally yes, but there are good people like myself who do care. Yes we are rare but we do exist and more than 'nobody'.

Really great advice. There are some managers out there like myself who do care about your career. It's one reason I got into management- to be different and better than other managers who never think about it.
