I understand this take but it seems to assume that people and systems aren't flawed.

Excellent site. To the point with a little pizazz. Love it. I'll give the extension a try but I have to ask, what pain point does it solve for you? I've tried package manager extensions and found they were not worth the trouble. A

I use them to iterate over structs in WASM memory that are neatly packaged as an "object", but are just getters into the current offsets.

I guess what irks people is when a big dog tries to gain "market share" with half truths, which may perhaps unjustly and negatively affect highly regarded open source efforts. I get that it sounds good though, better than "6%

I don't know. 1000 lines of CSS doesn't seem particularly easy. I'm not a css grokker myself but maybe it's easier for others.

It's very distracting. Plus I appreciate being able to see peoples faces as they express themselves and ideas.

Thanks for bringing this up. It's important not to easily forget (even if some may forgive) and that's what a community is for.

I would recommend open props over tailwind. No special tooling, no JIT complexity, just straight up css variables / json tokens. You're also not stuck littering your markup with tailwind classes later that can become difficult to

Create a community around your work. For my open source project I have small wins frequently (2-4 weeks) and bigger launches (6mos-1 year).

I think of tailwind as a DSL on top of css. It's got convenient shorthand and sane defaults where as css does not. Where it fails is the coupling between tailwind and whatever it is you are designing.

I found the best way I learn from books is if I have already been immersed in a project for a long time and have accrued a long list of unknowns, then the books and videos become more interesting as I gather information on tackling those lo

My father had a massive bookshelf of programming books. As a 10 year old I'd wake up at 6am before class and read through more and more of his Visual Basic books before school. Really just allow freedom to material!
