I've never "studied" "paddle dynamics" in these games, and when implementing pong, always just reflected, which doesn't provide good game play, but pong is always a "I'm trying out a different framewo

It wasn't until I read the comments that I actually gave it a chance. Would love to see a "Oh, you think it's Pong? It's not!" indicator on the page.

It’s certainly possible that there’s a valid oversight here, but Salesforce has a rather talented security team, and the company truly lives by “Trust is our #1 value”^1 I can’t speak for the implementation, but my guess is that it’s been v

This is Sam being given an ultimatum and making a choice before being fired. Is it effectively the same thing? Yes. But technically, he left to pursue OpenAI. YC never said “You’rrrrrrrrrrrre Firedddd!!!” (In my best Spacely Sprockets voice

There's a userspace frequency scaler ( https://tildegit.org/solene/obsdfreqd ) that increases my battery life to well beyond what I actually need. I easily get 6-8 hours on my Thinkpad X1 Nano (previous generation).

You _can_, but if I have a reservation a week in advance, then it’s not much use. Someone could return the car with no batter at 3:15, for my 3:30 reservation.

We use Zipcar for a second car at the moment and the closest one is an EV. I’ve only used it to go (at most) 10 miles round trip, but I’ve picked it up at 15% charge before and had anxiety the whole time… I agree that EV is a poor choice fo

The point of free as in beer is that it’s not free. So, if someone is giving it to you, it’s gratis. As opposed to “free, as in freedom” to use the beer not just for drinking, but to redistribute, inspect, add ingredients to it, understand

I didn’t think you were commenting on Drew, fwiw. This keeps happening, and the people stepping up sometimes have different motivations. I believe Drew’s are well intentioned, and am pointing it out as “I think it’s possible to go well.”

Ah! Good to know about contributors being free. I’d still expect the size of redict’s community to be big enough to convert some folks to paid. But maybe I am overestimating the size of that community since the Redis company took over?
