As far as I can tell, this announcement is _only_ referring to GSuite users (i.e, work accounts). Their rationale explicitly calls out "consumers" (i.e Gmail/personal accounts) as having a different use case. I don't bel

It would work roughly the same way. Integrating an OAuth provider like this requires registering an application with revokable ClientIDs, so Apple can technically pull them just as easily as they can pull Apps. (It remains to be seen if the

That's a very different product. Gmail basically never needs to refresh the page - you go through that loading bar once in the morning and there's no real reason to see it again the rest of the day. Every action in Gmail other tha

This seems like insane advice. Even if it's technically permitted, the HTML5 spec page they themselves link to shows a bunch of caveats and exceptions that make it risky. And for what - to save literally 10 bytes?

That just can't be the average. That must be the very top of the curve. For it to be the average, with the very bi-modal distribution coming from parents who have no-screens policies, the average in that other cluster would have to be

Has the video of the Build talk been posted yet? I know it's only been a few hours, but I don't even know where to look to check. (YouTube? The Build site? Channel9?)

But the whole point of trusting is that you get to skip verifying. What's the difference between trusting and not trusting if you still have to put in the work of verification anyway?

I got a totally different impression of the meaning of this story from the headline, before reading the article. It sounded ominously like maybe those 270 people had counted the ballots “the wrong way.”

Something other than a human evaluation of a student's entire resume, which is what we have now? No, it's not at all obvious to me that such a thing is possible. That's basically tantamount to fortune-telling.
