Thanks for the feedback and for the kind words. You certainly can ask people to sign up for Dropbox or Google Drive and a lot of folks do. It can be a bit of a side-quest if you just need them to send you a file so you can get to work on so

Spammers are already doing what they do. I have rudimentary measures in place, but additional data will enable a more sophisticated response. I use the service myself and find spam to be crazy-making. So... ;)

I've found http://tvfool.com to be very useful and precise. It appears to rely on physics rather than anecdotes, but you might find it worth a try.
