Has RoR really started forcing you to write unit tests? By the thousands? I've written several RoR apps in the past where I didn't unit test at all. Perhaps I misunderstood you.

Author here. This app is a sibling to my previous firewall, Radio Silence ( http://radiosilenceapp.com ). Quite a few customers have asked for a whitelist-based firewall instead of the blacklist-based one, so I decided to give it a try. Wha

Does someone know the reason behind the poor quality of audio coming from Felix? You'd think they had the resources to put in a decent microphone, and data transfer -- judging by the high quality video -- shouldn't be a problem.

This sounded awfully much like Apple's app store process. Different details, but a horrible and unintuitive experience nonetheless. Is it simply difficult to make a good developer signup workflow, or are both of these companies unmotivated

I think dragging from the dock always just removes the apps from the dock. At least that's the default behavior, and I have not found a way around it.

Reading the original "Show HN" thread about Bitcoinica is still haunting. So many predictions that came true. http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2973301

On Safari, the whole top left corner is blocked by a sticky "floating" youtube video. The video can't be played or closed. All clicks fall through to the page elements under the video. http://i.imgur.com/54HB1.png

I wonder if arbitrage trading is anywhere as feasible with the real-money auction house as with the play-money one. So far, I have probably spent more time in the auction house than in the game itself, buying low and selling high. Currently

Well, it does have a lot more plausible deniability than a straightforward backdoor. Which, of course, proves absolutely nothing.

Cracking the passwords from the hashes is not just fast, it's ridiculously fast. I can't believe a site like LinkedIn stores their passwords this way in 2012. guesses: 11516 time: 0:00:21:36 0.00% (3) c/s: 27126G trying: aptewwod - a

I sold each one of my towers at level 200 and continued to beat each wave, towerless. To compensate, it seems that the amount of money you get from selling a tower is nowhere near the stated amount :).
