The whole thing is in C++, but more in C-with-classes style. Very little of meta programming outside of STL, flat class hierarchy, etc. In terms of dependencies - just the Windows API and a bit of Native API, if available. No WMI, very litt

This is a long-running project that started as the proverbial need to scratch my own itch and then somehow evolved into a full-time job of the past 6 years. I thought I'd do a Show HN for two reasons. 1. I obviously want to show my bab

Bvckup 2 operates at the file system level. It has no API-level integration with cloud storage providers. It can be used to backup onto any virtual drives emulated by the cloud client software, which is, obviously, not the same thing, but a

I am a life-long Firefox user, been using it for at least 10 years. So not a trend, more of an outlier.

OK. It won't be compilable, because of dependencies on the UI framework and utility libraries, which I can't yet release, but it still should be very much readable and easy enough to hack into a usable state.

One man's "helpful additional features" are another man's feature bloat. Specialization vs. Universality and all that. I find that for a quick capture/re-capture grabs, with no editing, STF adds too many extraneous

I'd normally agree, but here the overall look and feel is meant to be that of a read-only list. Note-level menus aren't something that gets used to often, at least in my case, and having them visible at all times just makes the wh

PS. Since we are showing things... I also ended up writing a screen-to-gif recorder to make the gifs for the Nullboard's readme. I always assumed this was a rather involved matter, but it was a surprisingly simple thing to do. Just Get

Well, it's the return value in realloc(ptr, 0) case that is implementation-specific, but its behavior _is_ well-defined - it is expected to "deallocate the old object". My point was that in reality the behavior varies. "

It's worth noting that realloc(ptr, 0) behavior is undefined. The vast majority of modern C libraries will implement it as return free(ptr), NULL; and it will be documented on man pages as such, but there are syste
