Nexopia, a small social network that saw a bit of success with teens in western Canada, made up some great T-shirts encourage the use of Nexopia "because your mother's on Facebook." Made me laugh the first time I saw them, and your comment

While I've never been on Oprah, I have had my startup featured (~8 min. segment) on a show on the CBC (Canada's national broadcaster.) Hardly a blip in load. We had a few more emails than usual offering "advice," though. That said, it sound

Where in Canada are you based? Your options may vary if you're in a big market (TO, Vancouver, Montreal...) or not. That said, I'd imagine your best route is to find local investor/angel/business-mentor types who can recommend a firm that

Despite Angel copying and pasting her job description, I can vouch for her. Weddingful's a neat company, and has a lot of the right ingredients in place. We share an office, and a great, active investor. If you're at all interested in wor

As far a number 1 goes, I experienced wrist pain the most consistently when I was using a curved ergonomic keyboard. Based on my personal experience, curved keyboards aren't the best route for everyone. However, good point about Vim - cutt

Get the hell away from a computer. Heh, that sounds negative. I love by job but I find it easiest to keep balanced by getting away as much as I can for the weekends. For me, that's hiking, climbing, and back-country skiing. I pay for man

I've both been hired at startups through the coop program and have hired employees through the coop program for my startup. Give that a try. In Canada, if your marks are high enough (B average), you can also qualify for an NSERC undergrad s
