Very nice, I believe that's the image that shipped with Voyager-I 30 years ago. It's actually a map that you can use to locate Earth based on known pulsar distances, sort of a galactic GPS coordinates.

Also, it's like painting a huge target on your back for hackers to attack. Maybe that's the deal, all script kiddies will hack the .secure tld and will leave the rest of the internet alone.

You can solder this by hand with a solder gun and solder paste, hardly specialised equipment. Thanks to the chinese guys that did this you can now hand-solder a computer that runs a modern OS like Ubuntu 12, you couldn't do that since the 7

Unfortunately, many modern hackers (myself included heh) are adopting Edison's method: Build before learn, try everything, bruteforce a solution, skip math. Hackerspaces are particulary guilty of this non-optimal behaviour. The opposite of

The Tesla vs Edison personality duel is equivalent to Knowledge vs Brute-force, Science vs Business, etc. At the end, Edison may be more known for the general population, but the standard unit of magnetism is named after Tesla.

No more CORE for me Doc :) playing the "entrepeneur" now, without the social app or i-phone app, so, no glamour I'm afraid.

I have this advice: Argentina is the "hurt me plenty" or "nightmare" doom level but for business. Entrepeneurs from all the world come here to train. If they survive, they are ready for everything.

I disagree with -fPIE making things slow, specially in the ~13 general purpose registers of ARM. Maybe -fPIE affect things in the register-starved x86, not so much in modern archs. Also, "fucked up beyond all repair" is a little exagerated

This craziness is what happens when you try to implement a specialized algorithm on a general-purpose state-machine. What stupid thing is a "cache" anyway, but an optimization because we are not using real computers but hugely complex state
