Thank you. I agree that ask was a bit much for a lot of candidates; we updated our engineering interviews to be shorter and more manageable a few months ago.

(Render CEO) We're going to be hybrid and multi-cloud for the foreseeable future. We're reducing our reliance on GCP for some things, but I don't expect us to ever be AWS-only.

Hi folks, I'm the founder and CEO at Render. With this raise, the company is doubling down on making the cloud delightful for growing software teams who don't want to think about infrastructure. We're looking for great people

Hi Dom! After more evaluation, we think your experience was a Virginia vs Ohio problem. Once we have Virginia set up (along with a few other things our teams talked about) I'd love for y'all to give us another shot.

I shared your post with Render's engineering team and it got a lot of love because we know the struggle and can truly empathize because of our own Heroku-accelerated growth. What Fly and Render are doing is hard, but someone needs to

(Render founder) I'd love to understand why you think this is the only outcome. Render has positive gross margin and a clear path to profitability based on both our growth so far and the tailwinds in this space. I'm also aware of

(Render founder) We're still on public clouds because even if it doesn't help with margins, it helps us move faster on features our customers want. It's all one big prioritization problem (and lots of little ones too!).

I hear you. As I'm sure you saw, the per-person fee is only for active team accounts; individuals/hobbyists still only pay for compute, and inactive teams don't pay anything. The team charge assigns a nominal value to the pro

(Render founder) It's really gratifying to see an article like this, because 'we get you as devs and want to build a great service for you' is exactly who we are.

>The problem with render is that it is too slow to build This is only true for the free tier, and (hopefully) won't be true for much longer.

We have fully-managed production-grade Redis now: https://render.com/docs/redis and we're also SOC 2 Type 2 compliant.
