Wouldn't counterfeiters scrape that database for legitimate UUID's? You could allow consumers to "claim" a UUID as theirs (and when I get a product with the same UUID, I can assume it's a dupe), but that requires ev

In addition to f-strings, Python supports this (slight) improvement on your version. "lhs=({l.x}, {l.y}); rhs=({r.x}, {r.y})".format(l=lhs, r=rhs)

Maybe Google changed the threshold? Lets say 20% of recipients have historically classified the list as spam, and Google just adjusted the spam threshold from 25% to 15%.

I think the idea is to detect when different URLs contain the same content. That defends against duplicate entries like example.com/?foo and example.com/?bar (which are the same page).

Those tools rely on Microsoft-developed APIs to monitor traffic though... A monitoring device connected along the network path would be more trustworthy.

Attribute access doesn't seem to work with old-style formatting, so I would think it's safe. >>> class foo: ... def __init__(self, **kwargs): ... self.__dict__.update(kwargs) ... >

Presumably because FB went out of their way to implement that. I wonder if they can detect that G Maps is installed, or if that option is always offered. Either way, I can say that many other apps (eg. Yelp) do not have this option.

You can tell Windows you want to use a different browser, and that choice will typically be respected (when opening links from other apps, etc). On iOS, you cannot do that for maps. If an app implements a "View this on a map" feat

I use the Unifi NVR software[0] which ships with their hardware NVRs, running on a Debian VM within my home network. This works nicely with their iOS app[1]. The new UVC-G3[2] is rated for outdoor use, but appears to be preorder-only for no

I use the UVC Micro to watch an indoor entryway. Video quality is satisfactory but nothing to write home about. Hardware design is nice. Considered the NVR but went with a small Linux VM instead.

There's a difference between credit and debit here. Stolen credit card = bank is missing money; bank is incentivized to retrieve money. Stolen debit card = you are missing money; bank may choose to help somehow.
