The new ones will have the 7th gen CPU from what I understand. For example, a new review on the stealth variant[0]. You can add more RAM, you can get a choice of screens ( 1080p or UHD ) you get a proper GPU ( if you want ) and you pay less

Why not go with the "new" Razer blade[0]? Seems like a good fork of the MBP. 0: http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/gaming-systems/razer-blade

I have a logitech camera, an old one, and hangouts work fine. For some reason I had to install "cheese" to make it work. But that's all. No extra drivers needed or anything else.

I actually did the same after the Macbook pro presentation. Got Elementary OS on my desktop to try it. Works fine so far, better UI/UX than Ubuntu for sure. But I have some problems with the Nvidia support. https://elementar

I agree that driver support is one of the main problems. But someone that will sell the OS can make money to solve that, right? I'm fine with a small set of HW as well.

I don't think I use any macOS specific apps. Browsers, text editors, terminal, email clients, docker etc, all of them exist on Linux.

I'm mostly sticking with them for the OS as well. Why isn't someone grabbing the chance to take a linux distro and polish it to get that audience? I would happily pay for that OS so I can use it with any PC/laptop I want.
