What I am doing, and I find it to work really well is to have a yubikey nano ( https://www.yubico.com/product/yubikey-5-nano ) in one of the front USB ports of my PC case. Super easy to reach and takes no room at all.

It is probably more pricing of different products in their selection. If you just need U2F you can get their security keys [0] for 20$. 18$ if you order 50, and probably even cheaper if you ask for > 1000 (i.e. an entreprise customer). A

I don't understand the issue you are describing. You can already scan the entire ipv4 space for cheap with tools like zmap[0]. How does a premade list help ? In addition, I would expect such a DB to go stale very quickly. [0] https:&#

The version of Bazel we (Google) uses internally has a lot of features that are not out of the box in open source Bazel. Mostly around distributed compilation or object caching.

To nuance your comment, you can still get some form of parallelism, "just not" thread parallelism in Python. You can still spawn multiple handler process, or have threaded code in a C extension.

I think you can do the same in Go, using the empty interface (that can represent any type) and then having the user cast it to the correct type. Unfortunately this is not type safe, and type safe generics in go, such as maps is only availab

"Better" is not only a compiler backend thing. Things like better static analysis could also matter. I believe some optimisations are also done by the front end but I don't know enough about compiler design to expand on that.

To be more precise, the good chunk of youtube goes to the Google Global Cache, which is a set of physical hardware deployed on an ISP's premises: https://support.google.com/interconnect/answer/9058809?hl=en T

I think most large scale projects, or those with special requirements (things like embedded systems) are defining what subset of C++ they are ok with. Here are some examples: - Chrome: https://chromium-cpp.appspot.com/ - Mo

At least for streaming, most big, non-realtime, streaming platforms like YouTube or Netflix have caching inside ISP networks, to limit the requirements on the global network.

In my opinion, what makes them really great is the tight integration that they have. For example, since the whole company uses one build system and one single repository, you can build a truly awesome IDE that knows about every library in t

An issue you might face is that during rollouts, you will still have some servers running the old binary and some running the new binary. So you must either: 1. Stop all old servers before starting the new ones -> downtime, might be acce

I don't know anything about owl-lisp, but you also need a lisp that does not do any runtime memory allocation, as those are usually problematic in embedded projects, especially in those with as little RAM as the nano.
