I hope not to see any moral policing here for selling out. It is difficult to walk away from that kind of money. Hope not to see indifference caused by false equivalencies. False equivalencies suck out oxygen and leave no room for nuances o

Now, some managers will come to you after their time constant elapses and say "I have an idea!" and recite your idea. You have to accept this. LOL

I was going to say the same thing.. anything by JK. I started reading his books twenty years ago, stopped after a couple of years. He is a constant presence in my daily life.

I see so many recommendations to get rid of a smartphone. Here is a different view. I didn't have a smartphone till 2014, I used to think that it was a scam by phone service companies and manufacturers to make you spend more. And then

They open source all their excellent work. Rent seeking cable providers are trying to take advantage of the net neutrality repeal to make people click ads.

I am sure all the people he will be leading are passionate, he may not have to deal with the run of the mill org issues. Being promoted gives him more influence/power to implement his vision.

My thoughts exactly, practicality as opposed to cynicism. Also, what are his personal values? Who knows? Why does he bore the underground with abandon even when he acknowledges that the environmental impacts are not completely know. One stu

I agree with everything. Going by that logic, I think we should all celebrate that Google Plus is not as successful as Facebook. But for all your concerns, Mr.Chollet, what assurances can you give us about Google being not involved in somet

I live in the U.S. I use Whatsapp to connect with family members in another country. I have a Facebook account just for my informal HOA community posts. I have zero fb friends. I hope my HOA finds another means to communicate.

I have 300$ of trial credit, but couldn't use it when I wanted to create Cloud Datalab notebooks for an ML MOOC under the pressure of deadlines. I was willing to spend more money on something that is working (Floydhub) than use these G

My newly built community has Verizon only and nobody else to provide cable internet. This is a good reminder to ask my community on my HOA Facebook page to get other providers, which will involve a lot of digging up of yards and mess. P.S:

Happy to see Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi mentioned here. IMO, he and his work are underrated. I haven't read the original post by Hamming, but I have read one and a half books by Csikszentmihalyi and I am a better person for doing so.

At first blush, it looks like that. Once you are aware of this hiding of self, that awareness itself has deep implications.
