I figured it would print 2, 1, 0, and was right, yay for me I guess. However my confidence was low. I agree that you can write confusing code with ++, but that doesn't mean it should be banned! (Like they did with Swift). The ++ opera

Are people actually boggled by the "++" operator? If they can barely wrap their minds around that, why are they even in programming? Seriously!

Yeah but why would Musk want to discover that he isn't really a billionaire, but in fact an unconscious hairless dude living in a pod of goo and wired into a giant computer? Anyways he better be careful or he'll be flushed into th

Yes, but I thought I would try one that takes 4 bytes like a float, just to see how it compares.

Prolly an etiquette violation to crosspost to reddit, but I wrote a little "bootleg" version of unums in C++. There seems to be some inherent problems with the unum2 concept though: * The smallest non-zero value is 1e-9. * The big

Nice idea! Might I suggest using HTML for the escape codes? The terminal would be basically unlimited if there was a built-in HTML renderer. Maybe you would need some high level "EnterHtml" and "ExitHtml" functions to si

He has a some good points, but the "switch" statement needs an integer for a reason... a switch can be converted a jump table in assembly language, so that the "case" can be arithmetically determined and instantly jumped

It depends on the context though. Code like vector<int> years; list<string> names; is pretty easy to wrap your brain around.
