I guess I should be the one to provide the usual warning that C and C++ make no guarantees about the in-memory representation of the built-in types, and that this type of code can be very dangerous. It is, however, very cool when it works.

For some reason, I don't feel like this site is a totally unbiased source of information, considering there's a link at the right side saying "You won't believe what liberals say."

Why would we need an article? It would be about a paragraph long. I don't think this is really appropriate for inclusion in wikipedia.

The easiest way to improve I.Q. scores is probably to take practice tests.

Since when was there a minimum amount of time for a theoretical computer to do any number of computations? I suppose that any computer must take some finite, non-zero amount of time to perform an "instruction", because if the amount of time

I've been using this for quite some time. The best part is that it downloads people's rulesets for paging sites, so 99% of the time you don't have to set it up yourself.

The article seems to imply that hormones don't have anything to do with it, but I feel like it's probably at least 50/50 with the maturing brain thing! Anyone else have any thoughts or links on this?

Another example of the dangers of following Joel's advice on software managment. If you think your company is like his... it's probably not. I'm sure it works amazingly at his company, but his is almost always the exception to the rule.

Makes a lot more sense for it to work this way, especially considering that people often mention more than one person in their tweets.

I get the feeling that Chrome will look similar on Windows and Linux. This would not come as a shock to Windows or Linux users, as there are no real "standard" user interfaces for those systems. Obviously, on Windows and Linux, there are un

I have 4GB on a regular old Macbook and I've never had any trouble whatsoever keeping not only Xcode and Firefox running in the background, but also a VM running XP, VS2008 and Google Chrome on it, among other programs. 8GB is useful if you
