Read and share "Free Software, Free Society" now. Richard Stallman advised us about it long ago. Thank god Plan9 got relicensed into GPL. 9front might not totally free, but it's a step in case GNU+Linux gets utterly broken. A

Docker it's a solution for a big Linux problem. FreeBSD would just resort to compatNx libraries (to run older binaries) and/or a jail.

Arch Wiki can't never cover a userland+kernel documentation by design. FreeBSD does. Arch it's utterly lacking in tons of areas. Forget proper sysctl documentation. Say goodbye to tons of device settings' documentation. Forge

They are basically helping Hurd and there already is an instalable Guix image. GNU+Linux was just a temporarary patch and it shows. >This is comedy gold Ok, where's the Unix support from Ken, Ritchie and so? Are you aware that mos

I used mimalloc to run zenlisp under OpenBSD as it would clash with the paranoid malloc of base.

More like schizoposting, I'm just watching what RHOS it's becoming into, some weird NT/Solaris hybrid with a non X11 layer. And, yes, Hurd with Guix it's where the potential of reproducible distros lies on. True separate

The original one at home came with a PC gaming magazine, but sadly I lost that CD. Also if any I'd pay $5 for the OpenTTD authors and another $5 for the original creators.

Ahem, no. Not the case there. The artwork under OpenTTD fails under fair reimplementation for cohesiveness with the current extensions and modules. Ditto with FreeDoom with Doom: is not inspired but art-compatible so your Strain, Requiem, B

I used the text web ( https://text.npr.org and the like) thru Lyx. Also, Usenet, Gopher, Gemini, some 16 KBPS opus streams, everything under 2.7 KBPS when my phone data plan was throttled and I was using it in tethering mode. Ton

FreeDoom does that with Doom and it has compatible assets but not in the same style altough they are done in such smart way that most PWADs and TC are totally playable without clashes, from Requiem to Back To Saturn. On game engines, reim

pigz it's damn fast on compressing. Also, a Vax with NetBSD can run gzip. So here is it. Go try these new fancy formats on a Vax, I dare you. And, yes, I prefer LZMA over the obsolete Bzip2 any day, but GZIP it's like the ZIP of f

Good luck enforcing that on Guix, or 9front. The auth server would lie in Colorado. The FS server, in New Mexico. The CPU server, in Nevada. The terminal (the client), in Alaska. Shut down and repeat at random. Watch the lobbies collapsing

Fedora Silverblue it's better and Cosmic Desktop looks good for a DE in every release (upcoming 44). For some isolated and rollbackable option, your only options are Silverblue and Guix for the hard way. If you use Nonguix for Guix,
