How big is teletext usage nowadays (if it's still being used)? Last time I used it, if memory serves well, was probably 1997, in a town in Indonesia. I was a kid back then, didn't aware of internet, yet. Boy it was pretty handy fo

Switching to 'dumb' phones is probably not feasible to me at the moment, for several reasons: 1. When I'm bored or waiting for something, usually I read books/comics. Not so much on games anymore. 2. I'm into digita

I really like the fact that Lazarus is easy to build (even on my Windows system). 1. grab the source code 2. make install LAZARUS_INSTALL_DIR=C:\lazarus NOGDB=1 3. done Anyway, it's nice that we have an open source, cross platform Delp

For me, completely abandoning Windows at the moment is impossible. Obvious reason: PC game :p Linux itself makes a excellent tinkering platform, though. And for daily use I think it's relatively "user-friendlier" than a decad

Glad to hear FPC is still well alive and kicking. BTW, AFAIK Wirth's work is not limited to Pascal (there are Oberon and Modula, for example). Wonder why those languages don't gain as much exposure as Pascal does?
