Using the microphone as a sensor is a bit of a no-go a transit app. You could just record the noise of the train rolling to find out the movement, but your users will suspect you are listening to them.

You can get walking directions, it’s about 9.5km end-to-end along the furthest connected points. Looks like the roads going further out have collapsed.

See that’s the thing. Given that somehow you need 1TB to get the matte screen, I feel like Apple is using it as a way to upsell. It would indicate that perhaps Apple won’t offer a matte MacBook Air.

The big question for me is whether they will have a matte option for the Air. I want a fanless machine with a matte screen. Unfortunately Apple won’t tell you until the day they sell the machines.

They brought back the matte screen! Omg. The question is, will they have that for the air. (I tend to feel if you want something specialized, you gotta pay for the expensive model)

Or perhaps a neutral viewpoint could still consider many problems/issues with one particular candidate. Perhaps being objective is more important than „not taking sides“ in an unbalanced contest.

Will the AI bubble pop bring down the rest of the startup industry, or allow for more investment in non AI tech. Climate related tech needs more money.

You need to already know it's there and specifically point at it. It's hard to point so exactly.

There’s no wide angle in a gravitational lens. It’s only a couple of square km of view into the other system. So the telescope needs to lign up perfectly, and move around to follow the exoplanet. It’s a very difficult task.

Punctuality of local trains is much higher than the long distance ones whose stats you’re quoting here. For rapid transit, punctuality is less of an issue, compared to frequency.

Isnt this something that could be useful for consulting? I’ve occasionally considered trying to help businesses model MILPs to help solve their problems, but its so specialist that finding good matches is like the actual problem. I wonder h

You mean Americans can’t make it work? Cuz it clearly works elsewhere to limit rent increases, so that renters don’t get pushed out of their residences.

Around the time of the 386, weren’t there a bunch of lesser options that did a bunch of similar use cases well? I’m thinking Commodores, Amigas, even a NES.

I first thought it said 20$ for a 2 GB version, that would be a pretty good deal. At 50$ it’s more like “wow them pi’s got expensive”. Wasn’t there once a 5$ version?
