Well it has a 168MHz arm, so assuming 20fps, you got 80 instructions to work with per pixel drawing - that’s a bit tight, but not overly so. In the 90s, games (like Quake) worked with much less. But this assumes that wait states of the memo

I recently did some OCRing with OpenAI. I found o3-mini-hi to be imagining and changing text, whereas the older (?) o4 was more accurate. It’s a bit worrying that some of the models screw around with the text.

> Day-Month-Year is the standard everywhere in the world apart from the US Nope, the standards are day.month.year, year-month-day, or month/day/year. The problem happens when the delimiter doesn't match the ordering.

Killing Google Reader killed blogs. You personally can replace Google Reader as a product, but since most people didn't and just sort of moved on to closed platforms, there was less content produced on blogs and less discussion activit

TLDR: Fuel Efficiency. If somebody actually develops supersonic private aircraft, we really need to start taxing aviation fuels. You could blow through your annual carbon budget in like an hour. Those costs need to be internalized.

you can get that on DuckDuckGo. The main problem with Google is that the search is garbage. Kagi wasn't able to convince me that their better within the free searches (I have an account since 2022). Now that I can't try them anymo

I dunno. The thing is, Kagi isn’t really that much better than Google. When they still had a free tier, I tried it every once in a while, and it quickly wastes a lot of searches even while just entering queries, and then the chance to find

Ha, I'd recently asked about this here as well, just using some high memory AMD setup to infer. Another thing I wonder is whether using a bunch of Geforce 4060 TI with 16GB could be useful - they cost only around 500 EUR. If VRAM is th

Have you tried running the full R1 model with that? People in sibling comments mention high end EPYCs gor a 10K machine, but I’m curious whether it’s possible to make a 1-2K machine that could still run those big models simply because they

So I'm thinking, inference seems mostly memory bound. With a fast CPU (for example 7950x with 16 cores), and 256GB of RAM (seems to be the max), shouldn't that give you plenty of ability to run the largest models (albeit a bit slo
