Maybe there's some linguistic problem (English being not my native), but I wrote about the power of making decisions, of telling you what to do and what not to. It really isn't applicable to junior positions, but if you're on

Thank you for the reminder to completely RF-shield the sensitive equipment. I hope that this + airgap would be enough should these transmitters become widespread.

I suspect the clunky interfaces are to blame: if the paywall was only 1 click ('confirm $0.1 purchase') instead of a long long form to fill most people would just click.

As the owner, it's in your interest for the structure to be challenged (sort of simulated annealing optimization), so you better create a way to question the very rules through these naturally stubborn goal-oriented managers. Probably

OTOH, when it's time to move from research into production, this 'shaping' rather works: those 'good devs' with poor respect for authority move out of the team (either from the company or deeper back into R&D),

Indeed, it's called 'compensation' for a reason: it compensates for the time spent doing what you'd prefer not to. If you do what you love, nothing to compensate for :)

so why don't they charge me 10..20¢ per article, with an option for $x (or $xx if they publish a lot) unlimited monthly subscription, should I like them. Seems like 10-20 times more profitable, yet a rounding error.

I like how Asus put PgUp/PgDn/Home/End on Fn+Arrows, it really feels natural since their actions are just extended arrows. Convenient placement of Fn also helps. If only there was a right-hand Fn.

They are actually much more difficult, as are all soft skills that are poorly codifiable. Learning to code is much easier than learning to sell, if only because you can do it alone in a basement with a PC and a book. The reason we engineers

Unfortunately, recently they started messing with the design and the result is much worse than transition from Winamp 5.3x to better versions. Multiple playlist tabs, though, are great. Fortunately Audacious has them too.
