There's still such thing as physically correct image reconstruction, i.e. removing technical limitations via computational means. Super-resolution, focus stacking, HDR (proper one, without fake colors), highlight color preservation (tr

It's exactly about rising the performance of current inexpensive APS-C cameras to the level of professional full-frame models. As an amateur photographer I'd never take with me a mammoth gear that is some Canon 5D mk3 w/ 70-2

The reply like this is what I was hoping for! BTW, the actual forum thread (linked at your link) seems to exist only in the Google cache at [0], or am I missing something? [0] https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=

I've figured as much about performance, somehow while working with video I rarely reach for C++ lately, the firm realtime nature of sound makes performance harder than video even though the bitrate is orders of magnitude lower. Thanks

Maybe somebody has a recommendation on a similar article, but on programming sound? Somehow there's much less material on working with sound (especially low-level details about low-latency realtime sound effects) than on working with

Now that's a good idea. Just adjust the required loudness level to be the same as max(inside of average car right next to you, open street 10m from you), otherwise the extremely low sound could disorient you.

That's a big can of worms. This dual employment may have its drawbacks (I think mostly due to the fact that this is a mega-corp; for a small bootstrapped company it's only good, I think), but consider the following two topics: * P

As a person working like 40% academy, 60% industry, I'd say it is in reverse: you get to 'spy' on industry's knowledge and practice and transplant it into academic setting, where it is very likely publishable.
