Mistral can really end up having its RedHat moment. I think open models will only get more interesting from here.

Thats actually right. Tbh, I loved learning languages and read books like Programming Perl just because somebody recommended it in an online forum (back in the day). So I get the appeal. But in the end, coding by hand is on its way out and

For me its the money. Software paid and does pay well when I got in. I have actually been trying to get the eff out as fast as I can and move to management/research (I work in ML). I have avoided web dev shit like the plague since it i

Literally everything is a UI atop a database. Writing the data models, crafting the right uI and the right flows is non trivial. It requires iteration and that refinement is what customers pay for. The reality with SaaS stocks is they dont

That too on a 30k contract. That CEO likely sells some AI software and is under tremendous VC pressure to show AI investment.

This was the same hype around NoCode a few years ago. Thing is people for software as a service and internal teams dont want to do the service part. A common thread among all of the vibe coded stuff I hear is that nobody talks about the nex

Silent naive compliance. AI will try to follow the prompt almost to a fault and because AI doesnt talk back, its upto the operator / engineer to ensure that requirements are well scoped. Product meetings often have a form of hand-wavin

Waymo as a business has higher operating margins. I'd suppose that has to compensate for the lower scale. Having said that, Waymo likely needs more time to onbard cities than Uber so growth might be jerky.

I have to deal with C) at $BiGTech where multiple ML teams reported to someone who never worked with ML. For machine learning, it is especially problematic since even being a good engineer requires you to understand the algorithms on some f

I have found copilot to be very noisy to the point where I have had to turn it off and then uninstall on both IntelliJ and VSCode. I have found generating code via your favourite coding agent and then reviewing the output to be less taxing

Meaning sentry exposes an MCP layer with a tool call layer and tool registry. In this case, the layer is provided by Sentry. Native would mean if calling specific Sentry APIs is provided as a specific integration path depending on the conte

I am not sure if multi agent approach is what it is hyped up to be. As long we are working on parallel work streams with defined contracts (say an agreed upon API def that backend implements and frontend uses), I'd assume that running

Depends on the language and the way code is written. Actually if you can run the code locally, getting things to compile is a bottleneck in Java especially for constructor juggling. Once code compiles, iterations do the rest. Iterations are

You can keep burning tokens until it complies. Thats what I do and I get good results. I do often have to spend a day just thinking through the prompt, but then again coding rarely was the bottleneck. But AI is very good at doing a refactor

I have stopped using ChatGPT in favor of Gemini. Mostly you need LLMs for factual stuff and sometimes to draft bits of code here and there. I use Google with Gemini for the first part and I am a huge fan of codex for the second part.

Russia never had a functional democracy. The US has had one since 200+ years. It has had its problems no doubt, but democracy has flourished in the US and so has the rule of law. Honestly to an outsider that is US's real super power. L
