I've seen pieces of this without the actual proof of work but with cryptographically hashed inputs and commands such that your test can just be a cache hit. https://bazel.build/remote/caching

What you say makes lots of sense. I can see how hit rates not being passed down would cause issues. But anecdotally I think I'm in the same spot many others are. Btrfs let me down a couple times (once lots of truncated files and anothe

I worked at enough companies to see that many of them have some notion of "centralized config that's rolled to the edge and can be updated at runtime". I've done this with djb's CDB (constant database). But I'

You hit the nail on the head, those were my top two complaints, but the rabbit hole goes deep. It's not an exaggeration to say that trying to keep mysql from corrupting your data feels like a full-time job. Mysql in many ways, especial

I moved to Seattle from Utah. I. Utah when it rains it's big fat drops that splash on your face. You almost want to wear sunglasses to see. That is relatively rare in Seattle area. It is really more of a mist most of the time. Where I

Even a decade ago I was seeing projects stop using ctypes and instead use things like cffi. Honestly I couldn't tell you exactly why ctypes is so bad but I do know that cffi integrates a little closer with the c compiler and has better

After looking at the page it seems pretty clear overall but the biggest source of confusion to me is emphasis of "a new stdlib". To me it seems like a good chunk of their goals start with "a new compiler/runtime". T
