This creeping dystopia is utterly depressing. At least with the spy glasses that have a camera, I have a fair chance of noticing that someone is using them and avoiding that person. Spy glasses that only listen are not as easy to notice and

Maybe, but I do know that in my part of the US, I'd regular see a dozen or so Teslas on the road during my commute. Over the last few weeks, though, I've spotted a total of two. There appear to be a lot of people who have stopped

We'll see. I think there won't be a rebound. Instead, the efforts of Trump and other goons he's surrounded by will cause a great economic and political disaster that will result in the job market getting much, much worse.

I don't know in general, but I don't use "IoT" devices because the risks and data exposure to companies are enormous. The little actual value IoT devices provide aren't even close to enough to make the decision a ha

I can no more prove my speculation than Dr. Bostrum can prove his, and have no more need to do so than he does. All any of us can do on this topic is speculate. We'll only know for certain what's going to happen when it happens.

Software has been gradually becoming less user-friendly for years now. I'm nervous that trying to make it "AI friendly" will just accelerate the decline.
