I would imagine resource consumption being much worse on Hyper-V because such containers are basicaly VMs. Am I mistaken?

Hm, ok, but that's "just" syscalls, right? Anyway, that would REALLY be cool. Hope they make it.

No, that doesn't suit my definition of native. ;) Too bad, that would really be a game changer for me. Running bash itself though... yeah, ok, whatever. But maybe I'm not the target audience.

So, if I understand correctly, one can now run Docker containers "natively" on Windows?

Checked it out: missing license (both in repository and in source files), couldn't find any docs. Stopped looking.

Minor nitpick: how difficult is it to slap a date somewhere? Especially with this design it is impossible to tell when in the last 30 years this post was written (for the curious, it looks like it was posted today).

Let's vote: +1. MS doesn't stand a chance when it comes to me (and I imagine others) trusting them. Too much BS for too many years.

Great question, not so great answer. I think the answer boils down to: "depends on your deployment needs". If you want to scale application across different machines, break it in pieces. Ditto if you want to replace containers on

I started really using tcpdump when I discovered "-X" switch. It displays all the traffic as it happens in hexadecimal, so you can then use other standard unix tools (grep, less, redirection...) to check the traffic. For inspectio

Thank you for the warning, but I suspect I for one might end up happy anyway. :) I already see lots of broken pages because of NoScript, I often use bookmarklets to strip the page of excessive (mis)use of design... so as long as you can sho

Hm, a single PHP request is single threaded, but multiple threads are multithreaded, so this shouldn't be an issue for most apps.

I would love to know if someone has exploited this bug - should be fairly easy to learn that from logs (this attack is far from stealthy). I guess FB will never tell. :)

What I am missing in NoScript is ability to allow 3rd party scripts (say "google.com") but just for this domain . If I allow facebook.com, I want it whitelisted only on its own domain, not elsewhere.

For a site owner, using properly configured Content Security Policy somewhat mitigates the risk... depends on what you can close down though, some pages have just too many functionalities.

Hmmm. If it's about users, then why shutter the service they depend on? I am sure you have throught about this a lot and are probably tired of investing more time and energy in this project, but if you have hundreds of thousands of use

Exactly. Rust is great for deployments which can't afford such rigorous testing processes; for NASA however any abstraction above the bare minimum is just another risk.

Interesting - it does to me. Maybe because I also use NoScript? I have found reader mode, as great as it is, to be somewhat unreliable... I usually combine it with a scriptlet which makes all text black, 16px, and links blue. Not as nice as
