Ah yeah but they're essentially the same colours, whereas the C64 had 16 unique ones. If it had only used 4 bits for colour then I don't think it would've maintained its earthy palate because it wouldn't have been useful

That's very interesting. I'm always impressed at how dedicated some people are to old systems too. My Spectrums haven't been touched in 15 years and here's people making graphics cards for them still.

Cool article, but the Spectrum really only had 7 colours and black. And at the time I hated the Commodore 64's colour palate (and any non ZX Spectrum palate, until I saw the beautiful SAM Coupé's) so I guess it's a matter of

Using an iPad (with external keyboard) to even type a simple document is an exercise in masochism. Fair play if you enjoyed it, but something like a Surface makes far more sense for these types of uses.

Eh. Young men are "dropping out of the job market" due to a lack of ability to be accepted into it regardless of education or ability. And they're spending time doing lots more things than gaming, which you can see from rates

The problem isn't your references blocking the process, it's that your references have to be bothered even if the company will have no interest in you, and that you have to go chasing them up every time you make a speculative appl

Amazing how an author can turn an interesting story sour so quickly. The "white privilege" thing doesn't even make sense here no matter how hard you try to make it fit.

Yep. That's not as much of an occurrence in my country as it is in the US, but in cases where it is, it's still clear that politicians are completely out of touch with the needs of immigrant communities.

I'd suggest that if a person is not from the areas affected then they possibly aren't getting an accurate grasp on the reality via media. If I trusted my country's media then I'd think that the main issues affecting poor

Yeah, this exactly. Gamergate was complicated to understand even when you were trying to understand it and keep up. It's such nonsense to suggest that anybody outside of tiny niche parts of the internet even heard of it.

It seems as if there's a lot of behind the scenes data aggregation and analytics, which is good. But surely somebody has created a cheap variation on the rest of it? I.e. software with keystrokes to quickly access open financial data?

You can give your opinion, you can't install yourself as a worker with your own personal goals of changing a company's culture. Again, if you have a problem with how the company is being run then you can take action.
