GFCIs also have a lifespan. Ideally they’ll be easily replaced at the breaker panel, but most of the time they are put on outlets. Those outlets could be in a difficult to reach location. They are about twice the cost of a regular outlet&#x

Key word is could . Do AFCIs actually do their prescribed function effectively?

That’s definitely lower voltage. It’s just physics.

I think that’s part of the problem. We have very little understanding of the mechanisms of depression and how ADs can help or harm that.

How many Republicans are even in SF? LA runs political ads blaming Republicans for everything bad around here, but there aren’t Republican politicians. There are only Republican voters…. At some point the argument starts to look ridiculous.

Don’t even get me started on AFCIs. At least the behavior of GFCIs is well-defined. The AFCI thing is a money grab.

My mom doesn’t live with me (the bulb inside the fridge is LED anyway), I don’t have a baby (babies don’t carry metal forks), and I live on the second floor (but the power would be out long before the first floor floods). I don’t want whole

Which country? In the U.S., GFCIs only need to be installed in specific locations, which is good. I do not want my refrigerator or computer on a GFCI. In the U.K., you just can’t have plugs in bathrooms (aside from the shaver plug), which i

DCI-P3 (barely) covers amber (P3), but not the green one (P1). It does cover P2, which is also green and is a more gentle green. I think it was used more for oscilloscopes than monochrome monitors.

I’m not sure, but no monitor covers Rec. 2020 100%. Also most monitors don’t support Rec. 2020 to begin with.

My post is more about maintaining a steady weight. If you are trying to gain you will have to eat more even if you’re not hungry.

I enjoy food almost as much as I enjoy alcohol. I’m neither a glutton nor an alcoholic. This is a false dichotomy.

I enjoy food, but only food that actually tastes good. Considering how terrible most restaurant food is where I live (Los Angeles), and from others’ cooking, I don’t think most people actually enjoy food or even know what it’s supposed to t

I think IF can teach people that they don’t actually need to eat very much, and that they mostly eat out of habit. I have only ever eaten food when I’m actually hungry, ever since I was born, and have always been thin. Some people say I’m t

You can make it amber using HLSL (you can find the preset I made for it in ini/presets/p3.ini).

Monochrome monitors are absolutely more sharp. There is no shadow mask so the image is smoother.

The bloom is highly overstated (probably due to photographs). The monitors were not very bright compared to monitors today, and since there was no shadow mask the dot was very sharp. Color monitors could have significant bloom however, depe

Current monitors can’t show the true color of either the amber or green phosphors. It falls outside the gamut of the monitor.

Current monitors can’t actually replicate the true color of amber phosphors (and the green ones). It falls outside the gamut of the monitor.

I also have a nostalgia for monochrome monitors, so I figured out how to turn mine into one: https://youtu.be/oX-y7ilgDSQ

B2C isn’t a modern concept. USPS has done it for over a hundred years. People used to order things from catalogs. Does Canada have a national postal service that delivers parcels?

I agree there’s nothing better. What theoretical bandwidth can SDI support? A typical BNC (50 Ω) goes up to around 6 GHz while precision coax connectors (screw-on) can be up 67 GHz+. The ‘low’ performance of BNC is primarily blamed on the t
