I read their use of the term "60% efficiency" as what would more correctly be described as a Capacity Factor, in the sense used by Spyro above. Whether they can actually average 120MW in operation, I don't know.

Check out Python-on-a-chip, p14p: http://code.google.com/p/python-on-a-chip/ Similar idea, although the VM in this case runs on the micro. Last I looked Arduinos had not enough RAM, but some similar boards like Teensy++ did (I actually co

"Hashes" aren't interchangeable, they're an abstract concept. In this case, the thread is talking about the SHA-1 hash algorithm. AFAIK Bitcoin uses SHA-2 w/256-bit digests. So, actually, in this case the two happen to be related but diffe

The part that seems still-to-come: how did you change your marketing & product communication after adopting Sinek's theory? Did it work out better for you? I'd be very interested to see that post if/when you make it - comparing the befo

Feature Request: Quick optional filter for "minimum length", rather than having to look for the big dots. The short comments are pithy, but many seem to be context-specific.

I am curious as to why Google chose CC-BY as the only option for Youtube videos. I'm guessing just for ease of understanding? After all, having an option of CC-BY-SA-NC (ShareAlike Non-Commercial) would address points 1,3 & 4 straight o

I carry a spiral-bound notebook a lot. I don't trust it as permanent storage though. I try to regularly tear pages out and either copy them somewhere permanent (usually digital) or throw them away.

Even though GPL is the most obvious case where you'd want this, it's not the only one. AFAIK there is no software license which prohibits the copyright holder (ie original author) from relicensing their software, either to individuals or op

Well he said the '2.6.x naming scheme ', which I took to mean the 3 part versioning scheme (as used in 2.6 kernel versions.) I agree with you that assuming the kernel would always be 2.6.x is not OK, I'd just assumed noone would be that sh

I don't know if that's fair. I mean, if you have a program that needs to parse out the Linux kernel version then you could very plausibly have assumed the format vX.X.X[-something|.X], given it's been that way consistently for 15 years (sin
