TikTok is very good at recommending new content based on what you engage with (watch, like, comment, etc), if your feed is full of girls dancing, it's because you spend time actually watching it instead of just moving to the next video

For example, the US could start to reduce their emission to the level of the EU on a per-capita basis. A 7% reduction in total emissions is not little. If you look at the population, it's expected that China will pollute ~4 times as mu

Considering lots of miners are from China, no what you've read is not completely true. What's true is that Chinese users have no easy/legal way to convert between crypto and fiat (other than mining, that is).

My favourite thing about F#/.NET Core (I guess .NET 5 now) on Linux is how easy it is to install multiple versions side by side using my distro package manager. This spoiled me so much now I'm disappointed when I have to use conda

The carborana recipe also includes garlic which I'm not saying is wrong, but it's not standard. Also carbonara has neither butter nor oil.

With federated protocols (like Mastodon) you don't need to trust a third party country. All countries can be part of the same universe, but each one controls their own data.

What I mean is that a small countryside hospital won't be able to notice there is a new type of pneumonia, while bigger cities have teams to detect that. It's the same reason why we probably had the virus circulating in europe in

Another selection bias is that we can't say if the virus originated there, but only that it was first detected there. Even if it originated in the countryside hundreds of miles away it makes sense it was detected only after it spread t

My experience is the opposite, with .NET Core I can manage multiple versions of the SDK with my linux package manager and not an external tool. Then in each project I specify which SDK I want to use and what dotnet tools to install.

You should give F# a try. Check out Feliz [0], it integrates flawlessly with React and you can use elmish for the internal state management of components. You can use F# on the backend as well (Giraffe, Saturn) and use Fable.Remoting for RP

You can write models in F# (with CLIMutables everywhere), but then you need to put models in a separate project, then add a C# project for migrations, and finally reference both projects from your ASP.NET app.

Good question, in my experience using Feliz is easier to integrate with existing react components. For state management I use `UseElmish` [0] so I get an experience that's pretty close to pure Fable + elmish. [0] https://zai

City of London is amazing because of its mix of old and new, I used to work near the Jamaica Wine House and we would often go there for drinks after work. It's too bad the beer selection there is not great tho.
