I've met at least one internal recruiter (i.e. recruiter for Scribd, not a general headhunter) who was good. Presumably there are equally competent headhunters out there... Somewhere.

Your FAQ and testimonials links do nothing. If you do have any testimonials, put one or more somewhere visible. Right now you have no social proof.

You can join kickuptheass.com and join our "build and app" group with daily updates. It's not FB, and it's well adapted to letting everybody know your progress.

Most recruiters really are terrible. What we need is some kind of peer-to-peer job-hunting site that will let you find out what jobs other people are doing in software engineering, and just go straight to other engineers who know what th

We hire remote workers. If you're curious what we do, I just put together a slideshow on how we're using JRuby and Rails to replace our old Java infrastructure piecemeal: http://portal.sliderocket.com/AIMWD/Replacing-Java-Increment...

I love Rails, and this is still the best summary of the current situation I've seen. I just spent way too much time getting passenger and rvm and rails 2 and 3 to (all) play nice together in a deployment environment, though, so I'm biased.
