Potentially, but I don't think in practice, because most image generation is not trying to be photorealistic. Most models are trying to stylize their outputs, either by default (e.g. a Miyazaki-anime-like model), or in response to th

The tools the article discusses are *general* AI-detection, meant to be fed any image and determine whether it was AI-generated. I'm talking about a detection model that only detects images produced by one generator/source model,

I would imagine that models could be trained on specific image generators to detect them. This is honestly the obvious solution; AI is actually good at finding very subtle patterns.

Setting aside the efficacy of this tool, I would be very interested in the legal implications of putting designs in your art that could corrupt ML models. For instance, if I set traps in my home which hurt an intruder we are both guilty of

Not ridiculous at all. If you use the service that pays the artists below the value, you are endorsing that underpayment. You're literally voting with your wallet that underpaying the artists is fine. Pirating doesn't support the

Except that I can control whether the server I run is up to date, or internet-connected, or has appropriate NACLs, whereas I know firsthand that most large companies do not meet patching SLAs, or have properly-configured security controls

I think GOG disproves this somewhat. A decent number of my coworkers who game buy their favorite games again on GOG to get the offline installers. Trust, but verify.

And as tech folks, we all know how insane it would be in the B2B space to suggest that the service provider can end their service at any time, not refund you anything, and have no liability. We should have MSAs with defined SLAs and contrac
