I quickly skimmed over this, but I find funny they think AI/ML will democratize things. They do realize that ML in it's current form requires gobs and gobs of data. Your every day person does not have access to that. Really, I wou

I agree an unpatched vuneribility is probably more risky. However this feature can change settings the user explicitly sets. The bigger issue is it does not give me any indication the settings have been changed.

Not denying that issue with the 737 Max was probably negligent. However, as you say average people don't care, but then why are headlines putting Boeing 737 in it. It's just going to add to confusion.

This is a 737, not a 737 Max. It could be pilot error or lack maintenance plus a bunch other things. I says it's a little quick to jump on Boeing here.

Makes me think of this ticket no work around for the error other than closing the browser and editing a file or modifying the browser and recompiling. No options at all in the advance settings. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/s

You really only need a magnetosphere on the side facing the sun. It's probably possible to make satellite do that job. Calculations show you need about 2 Teslas or 20,000 Gauss. We can already produce such fields here on earth. I woul

I watched that talk a while ago. It convinced of one thing you should only have one URL parser in a project, and don't pass a url to any thing that may parse it differently. It also made it clear that trying to use a URL to restrict st

I don't like the idea of Telsa building a profile like that. It's violates of a lot privacy concerns to me.

Maybe, but I would say it's a little less conspirator or crazy since we know such systems are being deployed to track people. Radio waves never could read your thoughts or other crazy stuff so it would be less loony to see someone with

Considering, your first point. Facebook no matter what could use their platform sway elections. That's just part of the problem with centralization. At least with user selected filters there is some decentralization with decisions agai

I don't like racist speech, and I would say that's true for most people. Now considering laws regarding hate speech or racist speech. My first biggest reservations about such laws is it gives a government a precedent to regulate s

What you mean what I said does not work? Let adults choose what they want to see or read. While different countries may have different laws. Do you really think the censorship that happens in China is good? If you operate in such countries

Honestly, why do platforms need to delete anything. Why not just have options like most search engines... Let the users decide if they want to see objectional or even violent content. They are adults they can make up their own mind. Conside

I see what your saying, and looked a little closer to the indictment. However, I don't think it still quite the same thing as a key/lock. A password can contain information and as a Assange could have just been trying to see the

Agreed. Honestly, I don't understand the 5G hype. Moreover, if a device has an embedded transceiver I don't control the network it's connected too. I literally lose control over the device. Short of shutting it off or damagin

Not sure why I got down voted, but the question I responded to has been answered. The URL structure still has AMP in. So one can access the original page at least.

I am scratching my head to why cracking a password is a crime? Generally that means you already have a hash. Then your trying see if passwords match that hash... It's also not really cracking anything, but just guessing. That's ju

As a civilian it would be hard to come up for a good faith reason why an employer could legally kill someone. Hypothetically: A person at Apple might not know why they can't hire someone from Google. For all they know it could have be
