The title is misleading. Wal-Mart can't fix US healthcare. But Wal-Mart can make big inroads into fixing prescription drug access. But there are so many problems in healthcare that Wal-Mart isn't positioned at all to fix. Tens of millio

Maybe it's just me, but I actually do tend to associate usernames with comments, at least for the frequent commenters like edw519.

Nice to see this just a day or two after all the "TipJoy is dead" proclamations. There's no question that micropayments are going to be huge when someone gets it right. The only thing is, can Tipjoy actually get people to pay?

If you think there's really a need for it, start one yourself and apply to YC with it.

Completely agree, but I'm refraining from upmodding you because it would surely be ironic if this becomes the top comment, instead of some real discussion on pursuing our dreams!

Good, but I think you can do better. I got a Dell with the identical specs (plus Windows) 2 years ago for $700 and change (incl shipping). The time value of those two years makes me think you can get better specs for this price.

Yeah, you can get a great Dell for really cheap. They now come preinstalled with Ubuntu ( http://dell.com/ubuntu ), so you don't have to pay for Windoze.

Funny, I had quite the opposite problem. I installed Gutsy and my wireless card worked out of the box, no config needed. But right after upgrading to Hardy, Ubuntu didn't recognize my wireless card. I agree with the article; Hardy isn't q

I don't see why this is such a big deal. Scaling by a factor of 2 doesn't make any of the math lose it's beauty. The underlying math is still the same. Calling 30 minutes "an hour" doesn't make time go faster. It's all semantics, really
