Congratulations Danielle and team, really enjoy following along with your adventures via twitter and enjoy the daily newsletter from Mattermark. You're openness and candor is refreshing as well.

I was pretty excited about this when they were putting them up but of course I was just a kid so I didn't lose any money investing in them. :-) I am excited to see that the Iridium NEXT [1] constellation is on the SpaceX launch manifes

You should find an attorney. They can probably answer your questions in a quick phone call and lay out all your options and what they will cost.

The good health insurance can be nice and that 401k matching is powerful. Compound interest is pretty awesome too. It can be nice to work with others and have proper design and product management support and if you can seek out the best man

This... 1000 times this. Use the opportunity to work on your social skills too but most importantly save money and figure out what's next. In the future it will let you take risks you otherwise could not like, for instance, trying chan

You need to have a "come to jesus" talk with him and get him to commit to a solid launch timeline and plan and for both of you to compromise on the points you brought up or it's not going to work. If you can't work throu

Your advantage is that you can walk away if they don't give you what you want and you have to be willing to do it. It's like buying a car. You could also get them to come up 10% in salary if they won't budge on equity. The im

Now is the time to negotiate not later. If they really want you they will give you what you ask for. Remember you have the advantage here... they need you not the other way around.

I think you should talk to a local employment attorney. In the meantime pick yourself up and look for another job... A change of scenery can help too if you are not very tied to your location. Also, I hope you find the help you need. You do

So I can't speak to the hardware accelerators or even YC (timing issues have kept us from applying) but we have just spent the last 18 months+ bootstrapping a hardware product to market. I think the two main considerations would be 1)

Yeah, you missed some options: 1) There is a bus the (0 or 0X I think) right to downtown SF from Alameda. 2) Yeah, the ferry is nice if you have your stuff together and can get there on time. (Did it for three years) 3) Drive to west Oaklan

Cloud9 was at the first node.js conference (small gathering really) put on by Joyent in 2009 in SF and it was really impressive then but it was such a bummer the only way to pay was with PayPal (looked a year ago and it was the same deal) a

Alameda is nice and quiet and the commute is good to SF. Rockridge is a good choice too. Oakland is workable if you can stay near lake Merritt or downtown. Your budget is pretty low but look around. Concord is a trek but could work. Same wi

That's great! Now where can I send my $50 bucks to have someone mail me one? I've got my own hardware startup to run. Maybe we will put a drone on the Tor network...

This is too bad. I really wanted this to be a product. Wish they had been more upfront about the whole thing. Using an off the shelf board actually gives them a much better chance of making it happen. Hardware is really really hard to ship

Oh so much disagreement with me on this. Oh well, down-vote away... Did you all read the ticket and the initial reasoning for dropping support for the file format on the external memory card? It was so they could support renaming it more

This is actually too bad. These kind of decisions, compounded, is why Googles stuff is arguably so much less usable for the average Joe/Jane than Apple and why their ecosystem is such a mess for developers to work with. They don't

Point taken. My partner and I run a drone startup meetup with 1000+ members [1] and also build an iOS app and hardware to control UAVs at long range. Sign up and come meet some new people next time we put one on. My point was that if you
