It's sustainable in the literal sense, I.E. a tailor can simply tailor forever without needing to constantly worry about keeping up with new tools or technologies, or needing to upgrade or change their methodology constantly. The tech

A little suggestion in case you decide to try again, just don't worry about constraints. If you're making one-off parts for yourself, just sketch what you need and don't worry about trying to make it parametric. Get the part

If you use something like OnShape or Fusion, you could easily get comfortable enough to model those parts in about a day. Once get the hang of it, you'll be amazed how fast you can work. It will take much longer than a day for AI to ge

I genuinely think any ML approach to detecting ML will always be unreliable. Models can be intentionally poisoned or tricked, and there is a lot of incentive from AI users to do so. It will always be a losing battle against a moving target.

Sure, but local AI is still a black box. They can be influenced by training data selection, poisoning, hidden system prompts, etc. That recent Wordpress supply chain hack goes to show that the rug can still be pulled even if the software is

Sure, but unless you're training them yourself they can still be compromised with poisoning or bias. They're still black boxes even if you're running them locally.

Package manager incidents (like leftpad) have shown that just because it's open source doesn't mean it can't do damage to your project.

It has always baffled me how quickly, and how voraciously, people started to rely on privately owned AI systems. AI is not something discovered by scientists and plucked out of the ether. It's engineered and controlled, for profit, by

And while we're at it, stop with the popups and notifications. I don't care about the new features in a browser update. Ideally, nothing at all has changed. I don't want a "tour" of the software I just installed. I,

I work in a creative field, and we've started to get a lot of clients using AI to generate initial concepts for us to build upon. The problem is, they're not actually thinking about these concepts, they're just generating unt

Except, calling it a "tool" is exactly why OP feels bad. Simply phrasing it another way, I.E. "OP paid for a service to implement a feature he wanted," would completely remove the guilt and be more technically accurate

I understand the frustration but I don't understand the logic. The businesses who paid the tariffs (who were literally sent an invoice that they paid) should be the ones refunded. How would the government even be able to determine if a

At what point does this just wrap all the way back around to being genetic algorithms? I'm also reminded of the old software called Formulize, which could take in a set of arbitrary data and find a function that described it. http:&#x
