> Who is to say that this does not change one day? Surely that can be said of any software - even those without any current AI stub functionality?

This is a great comment that probably deserves a post of it's own.

> parental controls and screen pinning Will be used in scenarios with much more at stake than someone's belligerent teenager. Think of these features in the broadest sense you possibly can.

It's a classic triage problem. But "tell them to go away" isn't a triage strategy.

I think it really is and could have serious safeguarding issues. Also other features are effected like kiosk mode etc. The implications are unclear but could conceivably be quite serious in some scenarios.

My mistake. You're not presumptuous. You're just rude.

1. They are still shipping a product with a fairly serious flaw because the report didn't get to the right people 2. The flaw was publicly exposed which cause reputational damage.

Nice line in unveiled insults you've got there. EDIT - you changed "poser" to "pretender" which was a small improvement. It's polite to make it clear that you've edited a comment if someone has replied.

How is everyone reading this as me saying "no money"? You can have significantly less than $58k provable income and live very nicely while travelling. Is this some silicon valley bubble thing?

You obviously want to soapbox an entirely different topic - nobody said "no income" so your answer just makes you look slightly off-kilter.

In this case it is - because someone outside the org - who has no responsibility for your company fixing it's stuff - is being asked to make sure the issue isn't lost. Google lost out in this case - because an employee pushed resp

I think anyone expecting these security-related features to work as expected would regard it as a vulnerability.

A team that handles security vulnerability reports should never say "oh - that's another internal team. Go ask them...". In fact almost any staff member inside an organisation that receives a plausible vulnerability repor

Yeah but defaults matter and most people won't remember - even if they would be happy to share. Sharing should be a checkbox and it should be on by default. Anyone with any experience of tool/code sharing communities could have to

OpenAI has made very little effort on discoverability and filtering. The opaqueness of Custom GPTs and the low effort in creating them compounds the problem. 1. Allow me to filter by "feature". I want to explore only GPTs with cus

Care to share your prompts? It's a shame Custom GPT authors can't easily opt-in to making their prompts and other configurations available. I think it would improve the quality and rate of improvement massively. Kind of "view

How do past lessons about automation cleanly apply to AI code generation? Cleanly enough that there's no room for debate, doubt or discussion? (Edit. Not the same person. I keep making this mistake in discussion threads) Previously I w

I do think it's murkier then that. Writing "replaced" some forms of intellectual effort. And it's yet to be seen how AI will play out.

I'm not sure why you decided that "use copilot" also implies missing out most of your later steps. Who decides to skip all those steps? Presumably you? My experience is that Copilot is great at getting me started. Sometimes t
