Isn’t coming to a news story from these specific political viewpoints already a whole lot of bias? I don’t think we can boil down most things into three separate POV. Not everything needs to be looked at through a political party’s perspect

FYI there is a middle ground with the AWS SDK. If you don’t need the entire thing (you certainly do not), you can import product specific SDKs as standalone. Still quite a bit fatter than building your own HTTP client, but it’s an easy win

Dayshifts are 9-5, night shifts are 5-9. Same team rotates through both. I have done plenty of overnight oncalls. Some teams do follow the sun type rotations, but my team is all in Seattle.

Bugs are a function of change, not a function of maturity. Just because they can have people come in on weekends to fix things doesn’t mean they like doing that. I know many “mature” software platforms that do not deploy on Fridays or off h

The user does not need to be aware of the threat model. OPs point was the pin isn’t protecting much at all because it doesn’t really need to. The user isn’t making a risky decision, because if the attacker gets as far as _being able to put

For now, while we only have a few small models, sure. But models are inefficient and always will be by the nature of being general purpose. You don’t need a language model to tell you about your carbon footprint report. You could just use s

I kindof assume a decision meeting just finished, and the CEO took to Twitter the same time the PR department started drafting emails. I expect the email contains much more specific instructions and an actual process to follow. These things

I moved from Gandi to Google Domains, then later to Cloudflare Domains. CF has the most serious product out of any of them, and they sell domains at-cost as a loss-leader to get you in.

Cloudflare domains are sold at cost, and CF is a very rock solid platform (for DNS/registrars at least)

Also, “durability” is not a property you can delegate to another service. Plenty of corruption is caused in-transit, not just at rest. If your system handles the data in any way, you must compute and validate checksums. If you do not have e
