I find that I don’t mindlessly scroll on my desktop, so it’s not a panacea, but the newsfeed eradicator is useful for removing recommendation feeds from a desktop browser: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/news-f

I was recently thinking about this dynamic about human-oriented vs efficiency-oriented innovation. We haven't really hesitated (in, I'd argue, the majority of cases) to pick efficiency over human-friendliness. This seems like it w

This is always the case, though. The company is few years old. I'm no disciple of humanoids, but stuff has to start somewhere. Unfortunately hype > truth in order to get funding, so it produces incentives to cherry-pick like this.

Okay, this is helpful and definitely aligns with what I've heard. The proprietary protocols problem keeps coming up. Is there any chance we can connect for me to ask a few more questions or read some of your reporting? My email is in m

For an equally idealistic and improbable proposal about the future of the internet and personal data, I'd recommend Jaron Lanier's "Who Owns the Future."

Does anyone know what makes habit trackers such a trendy project in the last few years? In a world of possibilities, why do so many people make so many habit trackers?

I worked on a 254nm UVC fungicide system at an agricultural robotics startup. For some fungal pests like powdery mildew, there’s growing evidence that irradiating the crops at night (when the fungus has its UV defenses down), can effectivel
