Agree with your overall message, but I don't think thats true for chess. Chess players wouldnt be spending an hour on their own move in a match where theyve been been studying the board for hours already if it were that simple

I mean to be fair "figure out a word is a palindrome" is literally one of the first questions on leetcode. #9 https://leetcode.com/problemset/

Ok say you grew up alone in the woods, are you no longer human? The capability to learn language is no doubt unique, but language itself isn't the basis of intelligence.

I disagree. You're still human if you're deaf and mute. Our intellectual processing powers, or of animals for that matter, has nothing to do with language.

There is sort of the opposite problem as well, as the top comment was saying, where it can super confidently propose that its absolutely right and you're wrong instead of asking questions to try and understand what you mean.

This is really cool. Ive been thinking a lot about how to make a Turing complete visual language.

Backtracking is useless because if you try out a million strategies, by chance you will find one that works for past data.

If you flip a coin 200 times, and repeat that a billion times, 100/100 will be more likely than any other ratio. It will be a bell curve with 100/100 as the peak

Getting started is really easy. https://docs.platformio.org/en/latest/integration/ide/vscode... And esp32 can use the same Arduino library.

My take is the human brain learns concepts primarily through differentiation. To a newly born child who has no concept of door or a wall, has no reason to see the two as being different parts. Different languages form different differentiat

You can still buy prebuilt though and slap SteamOS on it and youre there. Dont get me wrong this looks very a nice product, but its nothing revolutionary.

I bought the original Steam Index and pretty much never used it again cause its such a mess to have around. That plus the motion sickness. For applications where you're moving around in game though Id really want to try it again.

What is the draw of the Steam machine though? They say the price is comparable to similarly specced PC. So why not just buy/build any mini PC? There's plenty of options for that
