Even if there is an infinite scale, wouldnt it be computational given infinite amount of time/energy. I.e each step itself is still a computational process.

I still don't understand what is formally meant by "computational". I assume it means "can be expressed algorithmically (by a series of rules)". If there are natural laws, then by definition isnt all of physics comp

Man isn't that just so freaking cool. Matter comes together forms some kind of mechanical system to produce new materials which come together and form a new system and so on. Some how a few principles which all matter follows gets repr

This is what Ive been doing with comp as well. I am making x, I wouldn't be happy with less than x, or I like my role and I wouldnt move unless I get y. Recruiters will usually be pretty open back and it saves a lot of time on both sid

At this point I kind of do. The matter that goes into forming your body and brain is somewhat special, having accumulated the properties it has experiencing billions of years of traveling through the universe. Once you die it decomposes and

I had a similar idea. I was working with some complex recursive functions and it was impossible to figure out what was going on. Trying to parse through 1000 console logs was nearly impossible so I had the idea of rendering the function cal

Man runescape was my life for a long while. Its still the only MMO I know which actually has unique and rewarding quests, activities, and mini games. There's something like 150 quests, most with completely new NPCs, new map environment

P-zombies is a thought experiment to demonstrate the hard problem of consciousness, it is not, in itself, an argument against materialism. I can certainly imagine a robot that imitates all of human behaviors. If you hit it, it goes "Ow

What are imaginary numbers if you remove its relation to the real numbers? Do they not become regular real numbers? How I am seeing it, real and imaginary numbers are both equivalent constructions with the same properties/construction

Is that a property of imaginary numbers, or a property of relating two orthogonal numbers? Legitimately asking because I can't find any special properties that imaginary numbers alone have in relation to themselves.

Imaginary numbers are just 2D vectors. Its such a horrible name. The imaginary part isnt any more mysterious than the real part. Theyre just orthogonal properties.

Ive been pretty hesitant to share without a solid prototype or even a solid model on paper. I can write about my thought process I suppose.
