I feel like saying the entire thing was written to direct people towards DO is stretching it just a tad. Possible that they have some affiliate program with DO? Sure. But Algo itself says that DO is the "most user friendly" on the

GDPR will cover anyone in the EU. Doesn't cover citizens outside of the EU, and does cover visitors to the EU while they are there. EDIT: But it's also likely that they will enable the protections for everyone in the world, beca

The GDPR is a huge deal and absolutely no joke. This is part of the compliance for that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Data_Protection_Regula... It has the potential to completely change the way tech giants are

I started going through it, and unfortunately it takes control away from you way too often. I want to be able to toy around with the concepts after I learn them. I'd still recommend `vimtutor`.

Learning by osmosis is just not a thing. You can't just smack a junior in the middle of a team that doesn't effectively do remote, but a team with a good remote culture should certainly have no issues with a junior being remote as

I switched from Google Play Music to Spotify specifically because of Discover Weekly and the curated playlists that spotify hosts. I pretty much only listen to music from one of those two. Conversely, the "daily mix" playlists see

I would imagine that they wouldn't be able to sell the hardware in china without a contract to redirect traffic through a terrestrial station that's inside the great wall. I doubt that's feasible.

There are a few proposals to move to a more standardized month, one being the International Fixed Calendar which contains 13 months of 28 days each, and one "year day" at the end of the year which can function as a public holiday.

I don't see the huge issue with using VB. You can engineer a solution in a modern language terribly, and similarly engineer a VB application well. However I do suspect that they engineered the VB application terribly. But them using VB

yeah, the GIL only slows down threaded code. The big reason that the GIL hasn't been removed is that any patch removing the GIL slows single threaded performance.

Go has high level constructs like python, C# or Java. However, it compiles down to machine code directly, like C. This is much faster than C# or Java, which compile to an intermediate interface (CLR and java bytecode respectively, which the

It's buzzfeed, they go for what gets pageviews. He found an internal source that's handing him info on a silver platter for whatever reason, I doubt there's a huge motive behind this besides more ad revenue.
