I think the title is a bit misleading, it's thousands/millions of robots that try to learn flying (in simulation) and only one of them gets really good at it and is selected, then flashed onto the real quadcopter. It is kind of im

I like the general idea of this article. But that question would be a huge red flag for me. That’s intrusive and I would consider such a question as offensive. But maybe this is a cultural thing, and works differently in other cultures (did

About the give-away-for-free aspect I was also wondering. Do they maybe configure their dns servers as default upstream and hope many people keep the defaults? DNS is one of the best technologies to do data mining and sell the data. I guess

The main repo is GPLv3: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardHome They already have many other commercials products and I guess also the default filter rules are very good because of their experience in the domain. Bu

Yes, it’s really awesome. The split-dns feature has all the options you would imagine. I thought i would need a second dns server behind it, but i could add all the rules I need right into adguard home. It even supports DoT and DoH upstream

Both are probably better options than Google Chrome, which sole purpose seems to be tracking your browsing activity ;).

First because email is not a secure form of communication, many ways where email content could be leaked. Sending a password reset link via email is similar to sending passwords or credit card information via email. Funnily that is somethin

Allowing anything else that a-z 0-9 and some characters like - _ . as the name part of an email address is pure madness. If the mail provider treats User@domain as a different address than user@domain, and delivers them to different custom

I can't remember getting something like that. Maybe because I use a different e-mail address for signing up to services than for regular communication. I just had an idea, maybe using a + alias (yourname+some-alias-address@example.com,

Especially something like Gitlab might benefit a lot from external integrations that need to call the Gitlab API. It might be possible to whitelist exactly those requests, but also a bit cumbersome.

E-mail password reset is a security nightmare even when implemented correctly. And the worst part: On most services you can't even disable it, the only way around is often only Enterprise SSO. On some services you can set up a phone nu

I think it depends on the platform. On iOS I'm not sure if it's even possible to get to the messages without a jailbreak.

Good thing that it's not (easily) possible to back up Signal chats. Lose the devices and the history is gone.

Fast charging is usually so fast that you can barely do anything else before the car is full and you need to move it. If you go for lunch for example usually you need to hurry not to pay overtime fees. AC charging is another thing, this can

Personally I prefer fast charging stations at gas stations. They have all the infrastructure you need for cars and road trips (food, toilets, wiper fluid, equipment for cleaning the windshield, checking tyre pressure, roofs, ...). And they

In Europe I've barely seen any broken chargers. Off course sometimes there is a charger out of service, or some random issue. Most of the time this is shown in an app/car navigation, so you don't even go there. But in general

Without the 737 max the airlines would need to change the way how they operate. And use more smaller and bigger planes. So not necessarily a drop in air travel is needed. Also the lifetime of existing planes could be extended a bit.

Planes constantly have numerous issues. And there are processes in place on how to deal with them. It seems like the followed all the necessary processes and even did additional non-required steps.

I guess Airbus won the war. There are passengers that don't want to fly on a Max plane, never heard of anyone that doesn't want to fly on Airbus. This might just be one more tiny reason for airlines to buy Airbus.

Yes, but they need to be good quality and quite heavy, so they don't wiggle. Being able to save presets (sitting, standing) is also an important feature for me, otherwise they are always a bit off.

Helm would probably benefit from something like JSX for YAML/JSON. Just being able to script a chart instead of this templating hell.

A lot of people don't know that JSON is valid YAML. You can mix JSON into your YAML wherever you need it. So if you have issues expressing something complex in YAML (like nested arrays) just write JSON instead.

Yes, this sounds plausible. Maybe the airline did know about the missing bolts and didn't want publicly admit it. If they didn't notice the bolts missing it's a completely different story. If 4 bolts get loose, maybe 50 more
